The longest wavelength band of the electronic absorption spectrum of 1,3-butadiyne was assigned to the vibrational progressions of two forbidden electronic transitions -t— and A — which overlap each other [90]. The peaks appear at 243.4, 231.5, 220.7 and 211.1 nm in the gas phase spectrum [90]. The
