Photocyclizations electron transfer induced

The electron-transfer-induced photocyclization of benzylpyrrolinium salts has been shown to be a reliable method of access to benzopyrrolizidine products. Several representatives of this particular system, (206)-(217) together with several benzoindolizidines have been fully characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV, H NMR, C NMR and MS) <90JA3594>. X-ray crystallographic study of the picronolate salt of cyclohexapyrrolizidine (218) led to the determination of the stereochemical features of this fused pyrrolizidine <78CJC320>. [Pg.983]
