Photocatalytic ammonia synthesis by water and dinitrogen

It is reported that the chemists in U.S. synthesized ammonia from water and dinitrogen by using sunlight and a special catalyst of Ti02 powder incorporated with iron oxide. This process can be carried out at near room temperature and atmospheric [Pg.816]

Recently, along with the progress of photochemistry by solar energy, Schrauzer et first reported a photocatalytic method for reduction of nitrogen on Ti02 powder. Fujiashima et synthesized ammonia by Ti02, ZnO and SiC pow- [Pg.816]
