Phosphoranes with miscellaneous

D. Miscellaneous.—Low yields of the spirophosphoranes (34) were obtained on heating the phosphorane (32) with the aziridines (33). Stable phosphoranes have been obtained from phenanthraquinone mono-imine (35) and trialkyl phosphites, and from 2-chlorotropone (36) and ylides. In the latter reaction cyanomethylenetriphenylphosphorane gave instead the betaine (37). 

Miscellaneous.—Hydridofluorophosphates have been prepared for the first time, and the anion (129) has been found to have an octahedral structure, with hydrogens trans.116 Phosphorus pentafluoride forms an adduct with biscyclopentadienyl titanium difluoride.116 The phosphorane (130) has been prepared as shown.117... 

Miscellaneous.—iV-Aryl-iV -aroyldi-imides give the phosphoranes (58) with phosphites. The structure of an adduct with the caged phosphite (39) has been determined by A -ray analysis. It is a distorted trigonal bipyramid. 

Miscellaneous.—Additional examples of the cage-like phosphoranes (70) have been obtained, including the first penta-alkylphosphorane (70 R, R , R = Me). The biphenylylenephosphonium salt (73) with methyl-lithium gave the phosphorane (71), but with (72) gave only the phosphorane (74) and not a six-co-ordinate anion analogous to that formed from the bisbiphenylylene salt and (72).
