By the metathetical reaction of complex (69) with some tridentate phosphine or arsine ligands, a number of complexes of the type [Ni(C3Ph3)L]Y (Y = CIO4, BPI14, L = triphosphine, triarsine) have been obtained (equation 98). 

The only example of Si H M agostic interaction supported by a phosphorus bridge was discovered by Driess et al. in the complexation of a silylated triphosphine ligand to a chromium tricarbonyl complex [Eq. With the latter, an excess of the phosphine had to be used to obtain the tetracoordinated derivatives, while hydrazine without any excess of ligand gave the tricoordinated derivatives 130). Chatt and co-workers (45, 47j 51) obtained the nickel(0), palladium(0), and platinum(0) derivatives with the chelating diphosphines, diarsines, and triphosphines by reduction with sodium tetrahydridoborate or naphthanelide.
