Phenylbutazone - BSA Conjugates

Several procedures have been described for coupling drugs to various heterologous or homologous carriers, for instance (Amos 1976)  

Conversion of aromatic amines to diazonium salts by treatment with nitrous acid and coupling this reagent to various side chains of proteins at alkaline pH 

Bis-diazotized benzidine (BDE) will bind to tyrosyl, histidyl, amino, and carboxyl side chain derivates of proteins 

Carbodiimides substances with free aryl or alkyl groups. They are mostly used for the binding of protein to red blood cells, for serologic studies. However these reagents can also be applied to the coupling of some drugs to various carriers 

Diisocynates which are bifunctional groups reacting with free NH2 groups
