Adamsite, phenarsazine chloride, DM. Used by Allied forces in WWI. Crystalline solid, mp 190°C, canary yellow when pure, dark green-brown when impure. Irritant at 0.1 mg/m3. Not endurable at 0.4 mg/m3. Low lethality. Envelopes containing Adamsite reportedly sent in June 2003 to embassies in Belgium. Skin and eye irritation no serious effects. [Pg.680]
