The only data on other streams which are sufficiently detailed for comparison purposes are those obtained by Steele (46) on Pescadero Creek, San Mateo County, California. This stream has a drainage area of 45 square miles and the average annual rainfall in the basin is approximately 40 inches. As in the case of the Mattole basin, much of the rainfall occurs between November and March. [Pg.128]
