Grosjean et al. (1993d) and Orlando et al. (2002) have both conducted a mechanistic study of the OH-initiated oxidation of peroxymethacrylic nitric anhydride. The products observed or suggested by these studies are mainly formaldehyde, hydroxyacetone, and CO2 following the degradation mechanism shown in figure Vni-M-3.
