Periodic Mesoporous Organosilicas with Amorphous Wall Structure 

Multidisciplinary applications of PMOs have been extensively highlighted in several recent excellent comprehensive reviews [39,41—47]. The focus of PMO research has been on the fields of catalysis, adsorption and chromatographic separation, and sensing, as well as on the domains of optics and electric and dielectric materials [40-47,50,52-54,57,59,62-64,68-73,76,78]. In the past few years, special attention has been paid to emergent bio-applications of these materials as biocatalysts, biosensors, and drug carriers [72,73,77,78].
