Perfluoroalkanesulphonate esters

Anodic oxidation of iodoperfluoroalkanes in the presence of perfluorosulphonic acids leads to the production of perfluoroalkyl perfluoroalkanesulphonate esters in good yields393. 

The methods of preparation and uses of perfluoroalkanesulphonic esters in organic chemistry has been reviewed. Applications of triflates in S 2 reactions of sugars, particularly for the synthesis of deoxy-sugars, were illustrated.
