Since peptones are described as a constituent in the database of the thermod5niamic software, they are used to estimate the pH and a of the TMB medium with a KH2PO4/K2HPO4 buffer at pH 5.8 or pH 7.0 and increasing concentrations of solutes (NaCl, KCl, glucose, sucrose and glycerol).
