Pentanone in solution

In n-hexane, about 95 % of the ketone reacted is consumed by processes II and III. Wagner and Hammond determined the following primary quantum yields with radiation of 3130 A wavelength and at room temperature and 0.20 M 2-pentanone concentration 

Yang and Yang reported the formation of 12 % 1-methyl cyclobutanol in cyclohexane at room temperature. The identification was made by the gas chromatographic retention time and the infrared spectrum.
