Pentagon road

Manolopoulos and Fowler [256] have presented a model to examine the fullerene road mechanism. They used a building game approach [257] based on energetics and the number of adjacent pentagons at each nuclearity. They found that the fullerene road can explain the experimental abundance of Cgo and C70 if the structural driving force is based only on energy minimization. [Pg.64]
