Pegmatitic deposit

P. Cewmy, Rare Element Granitic Pegmatites, Pt. I. Anatomy and Internal Evolution of Pegmatite Deposits, Geoscience Canada, vol. 18, No. 2, 49,1991. [Pg.117]

The most important tin deposits are hydrothermal deposits (hypothermal and mesothermal). The magmatic deposits do not often contain tin mineralization. Tin may also be present in pegmatitic ore bodies. However, tin found in pegmatitic deposits can be classified into two basic types (a) quartz-cassiterite lenses in granite, when cassiterite is associated with topaz, beryl and, to a lesser degree, sulphides (b) sulphide deposits, where tin is mainly cassiterite associated with arsenopyrite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. Such deposits are common in South America (Peru, Bolivia). [Pg.88]

Pegmatite deposits are the most abundant. They contain a variety of minerals including tantalum, niobium, lithium and beryllium, as well as REE and zircon. [Pg.129]

Role of microscopic fungi in the process of weathering of pegmatite deposit rocks and minerals. Mikrobiologiya, 50, 156-62. [Pg.284]

Large deposits of spodumene have been found in Manono in the Democratic Republic of Congo and of petalite and lepidoHte in Bikita in Zimbabwe. Investigations of pegmatite deposits in Greenbushes, Western Australia, have also revealed large reserves of spodumene. [Pg.296]

Other areas in the US with small lithium pegmatite deposits include the western part of Arizona from Phoenix to Lake Mead. In the White Picacho district distinctly zoned pegmatites range up to 610 m in length by 60 m in width, with zones... [Pg.84]
