This patient safety indicator is concerned with postoperative sepsis and is expressed by [Pg.84]

PSI = the postoperative sepsis indicator. tti5 = the number of postoperative sepsis. [Pg.85]

Pi5 = the number of all elective surgical discharges wifh greafer than 3 days stay. [Pg.85]

Cancer, infection, immune compromise, and obstetric discharges are not included in this safety indicator. [Pg.85]
