Patient Safety Indicator III

This patient safety indicator is concerned with decubitus ulcer and is expressed by 

DUI = the decubitus ulcer indicator, ttg = the number of pressure ulcers. 

P3 = fhe number of all medical and surgical discharges wifh greafer fhan 4 days sfay 

Hemiplegia, paraplegia or quadriplegia, paralysis, obstetric discharge, and admission from long-term care facilities are not included in this safety indicator.
