Parathion protective clothing

Organophosphate pesticides became widely used following the banning of DDT. Parathion is an insecticide that is extremely toxic to man and animals. It is a restricted-use pesticide in the U.S., and exposed workers must wear rubber gloves, protective clothing, goggles, and a respirator. The mask or respirator must be approved by the U.S. Bureau of Mines for parathion protection. Parathion was found on the skin of the hands of one worker 2 months after his last known contact [25]. [Pg.787]
