Palaemon macrodactylus

Once fertilization occurs, crustacean embryos are commonly carried and tended by the female. In some shrimp and lobster species, the embryos are chemically protected from microbial pathogens by symbiotic microbes covering the embryo surfaces and producing chemicals that prevent attack by harmful microbes.
