Oxyfluorides cuprates

It is clear from the examples presented so far that atomistic simulation can reveal important contrasts within and between families of superconducting cuprates. The final family of compounds we briefly examine in this chapter are those in the range Sr-Ca-Cu-O, beginning with SrCuC>2, the defect chemistry of which remains highly controversial despite the apparent simplicity of its structure, and concluding with the recently synthesized oxyfluorides. [Pg.262]
