In order to establish the depositional history of the speleothems, outcrop-scale features such as discontinuities were mapped. Four discontinuity surfaces were found within the NG flowstone (Figure 4). The discontinuities are laterally continuous over the entire outcrop of the specimen sampled. Debris such as broken soda straws and stalactites lie horizontally on these surfaces (Figure 4).
