Other Subunits without Prosthetic Groups

It is estimated about 9 moleeules of eardiolipin are bound to eaeh bc monomer (Gomez and Robinson, 1999) in addition to about 100 moleeules of neutral phospholipids per dimer (Sehagger et al., 1990), whieh are required for full electron transfer aetivity. Two phospholipid moleeules have been identified in chieken bc, crystals.
