A similar synthetic approach has been also employed to obtain a discrete hexameric (H20)2Cu2(p3-ade-KA KA KA )4[Cu(oda)(H20)]4 6H2O (oda = oxydiacetato) entity, in which the central dimeric core is bonded to four monomeric units. The 3D polymerization is precluded by the blocking tridentate oda ligands. [Pg.427]

Lippert and co-workers synthesized a ID polymeric Hg(II)-nucleobase complex with a guanine derivative (l,9-DiMeG= 1,9-dimethylguanine) by the reaction of HgCl2 with the guanine ligand in a water-alcohol mixture (Fig. 20). The Hg(II) ion is coordinated to one guanine (via N7 position) and three [Pg.429]

Cl ligands. Two of these Cl act as bridging ligands. The polymeric structure is co-crystallized with HgCl2 molecules.  [Pg.430]
