Other complementary Community initiatives

To help the supervisory authorities and industry to verify the conformity of products with the directives, the European Commission started a number of initiatives which resulted in  

For the time being the Commission will probably seek to add to the present Community legislation other directives which should have as their immediate objectives  

In the longer term, rules will be adopted where necessary for colourings, adhesives, inks, catalysts, etc.
