Few studies have been made of arsonate transport. Lacoste et al. (63), after finding that Pseudomonas aeruginosa would take up both 

2-aminoethyl- and 3-aminopropyl arsonic acids, analogues of amino-ethylphosphonate and of phosphoethanolamine, respectively, also showed that they inhibited the uptake of labeled aminoethylphospho-nate competitively with a Kt of 18 M for each the Km for the amino-ethylphosphonate was 6 yM.
