Oscillatory calorimeters

Hydrogenation was carried out in an oscillatory calorimeter using glacial acetic acid as the calorimeter fluid. Results are corrected for A hyiH of the product in acetic acid. 

The hydrogenation was carried out in an oscillatory calorimeter using glacial acetic acid as the calorimeter fluid. The results are corrected for Asol,n// of the product in acetic acid. Asorn// is quite significant for the higher alkanes, being 2.1 (0.1) kcal mol 1 in this case.
