Plictran (tricyclohexyl tin hydroxide), (TCHH), is an organotin most generally used as a miticide for fruit trees and ornamental trees and shrubs. It was developed and is produced by Dow Chemical Company and sold as a 50% wettable powder acaracide, or 50% TCHH-50% inert diatomaceous earth. It is light tan in color and has a negligible vapor pressure (3). 

Gauer et al. [4] described a gas chromatographic method for the determination of the residues of tricyclohexylhydroxystannane and its dicyclohexyl metabolite on strawberries, apples and grapes that have been treated with Pictran miticide. Crop samples were treated with aqueous hydrobromic acid to form bromo derivatives of the organotin compounds, and these derivatives were extracted into benzene.
