Organotin compounds atomic properties

Zoeae of the mud crab, Rhithropanopeus harrisii were exposed to a set of structurally distinct organotin compounds consisting of 7 di- and 8 trior-ganotins (TABLE 1). Most are commercially available but several were synthesized specifically for these studies. Selection was additionally based upon an attempt to choose compounds with a range of physico-chemical properties, and whose ligands would differently influence the electronic character of the tin atom. [Pg.193]

Only a relatively few organotin-substituted heterocycles are known as compared with the large number of organotin-substituted aliphatic and aromatic compounds. Those described in this section, i.e. compounds with an organotin group joined to a nitrogen atom which is contained in a ring, were unknown until 1962. In that year Luijten, Janssen, and Van der Kerk (J, 42) reported the preparation and properties of a number of these compounds. [Pg.433]
