Organolead-nitrogen compounds

Organolead-nitrogen compounds have been studied repeatedly by using 207Pb NMR. This has led to 207Pb NMR data of several series of compounds with triorganolead amides and diorganolead bis(amides), as shown below for some examples (44-55) 8 -90... 

The number of known organolead-nitrogen compounds is small. Nevertheless representative compounds of the several possible classes are known. 

The known organolead-nitrogen compounds have been summarized in Table XI. 

A number of organolead(IV) compounds are self-organized into chain structures via lead-nitrogen bonds. Such compounds include chain-like trimethyllead(IV) azide, Me3PbN3 [367, 368], triphenyllead(IV) azide, Ph3PbN3 (Pb- - -N 2.54 A) [369], trimethyllead(IV) cyanide, MesPbCN [370], triphenyllead(IV)cyanate, Ph3PbNCO (Pb-N 2.38 A, Pb-O 2.65 A [371], and dimethyllead(IV) dicyanide. 

These include association, complexes, and environmental factors for acetates, benzoates471, carboxylatcs substituted pyridines, dithiophosphorus and carbon ligands, and a range of nitrogen derivatives. The antifungal activity and spectral characteristics of tin-sulphur compounds are measured and equUibria of organolead halide adducts measured and compared. ... 

An organolead chelate complex with lead-nitrogen bonds was recently examined 64). Diphenyllead bis(8-hydroxyquinolate), like the corresponding tin compound, probably has an octahedral structure.
