Order of a matrix

The order of a matrix is given by (m x n), where m is the number of rows and n is the number of columns. Because the number of columns of W equals the number of rows in the column vector describing the position Q, the two matrices are conformable and they can be multiplied (noting that matrix multiplication is not commutative, SW). [Pg.13]
