Operational risk management deficiencies

Work that third parties do on an organization s premises may be hazardous to the employees of those contractors, to an organization s employees while the work is being done, and may introduce hazards and risks to an operation that must be dealt with after the work is completed. Thus, selection criteria should be established and an assessment should be made of a contractor s capability before engagement. Performance of contractor s should be monitored and deficiencies referred to its management. [Pg.312]
