3 OPCW contribution to global anti-terrorist efforts 

Recalling the determination of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention for the sake of all mankind, to exclude completely the possibility of the use of chemical weapons, through the implementation of the provisions of this Convention, thereby complementing the obligations assumed under the Geneva Protocol of 1925  

Mindful of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1373 (2001) and 1368 (2001) and United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/56/1  

Recalling the statement by its Chairman on the terrorist attack which had taken place in the United States of America on 11 September 2001 (EC-XXVI/3, dated 28 September 2001)  

Recognises that the full and effective implementation of all provisions of the Convention is in itself a contribution to global anti-terrorist efforts
