One-electron enzymatic oxidation

Most of the free radical metabolites formed by one-electron oxidation are formed by peroxidases (Table 2). The mechanism shown here is for horseradish peroxidase, which is also typical of the mammalian peroxidases (e.g., myeloperoxidase, lactoperoxidase, etc.).
