Similar polyvinyl polymers 2.43 containing pendant oiigothiophenes were prepared via radical polymerization. In this series, the oligothiophene moieties were endowed with an alkyl substituent at the other terminal position (Chart 1.9) [106], Self-assembly-induced white photoluminescence (400-700 nm range) was reported possibly due to intra- and inter-chain interaction of oligothiophenes which form a type of supramolecular arrangement suitable for charge transport in the device.
