Oligomeric cationic aminosilane

Figure 4.9 shows the two-dimensional visualization of a monomeric and an oligomeric cationic aminosilane (Dynasylan 1161) on E lass. The lack of homogeneity of the monomeric cationic aminosilane surface layer is confirmed by the shady SEM (scanning electron microscopy) image (Figure 4.10). By contrast, the oligomeric cationic aminosilane leads to a much more homogeneous surface.
