Octahedral coordination of hetero-atom

The MnMogOsJ ion. The structure of a 9-ion has been determined in (NH4)6MnMo9032 8 H20. In this ion, illustrated in Fig. 11.9, nine MoO octahedra are grouped around, and completely enclose, the Mn ion. [Pg.437]

TheTeMosO J ion in (NH4)6(TeMo6024) -7H20, showing the mode of linking of the MoOfi octahedra. [Pg.437]

The structure of the MnMo9032 anion with exploded view at left. The single circles represent Mo and the double circle Mn. [Pg.437]

The MnNbi20 ion. This ion may be constructed from the same edge-sharing groups of three octahedra from which PW12O40 is built and which are also sub-units in MnMogOs. We may refer to the unit as A or as B if it is upside-down (Fig. 11.9). If B is placed on A there is formed an octahedral group of six octahedra which is the structure of the Nb Of ion of Fig. 11.3(a). [Pg.437]

The [H4C02M010O38] anion. The black ootahedra contain the Co atoms. [Pg.438]
