Nortriptyline Rifampicin

In three patients a marked reduction in nortriptyline or amitriptyline levels occurred when rifampicin was given. [Pg.1240]

It seems highly probable that rifampicin (a well recognised and potent enzyme inducer) increased the metabolism of nortriptyline and amitriptyline by the liver thereby reducing their levels. [Pg.1240]
