Had we seen the 14/6 split, however, the p-value would have increased to 0.0417998 - - 2 X 0.037 = 0.1157998, a non-significant result the 14/6 split is not sufficiently extreme for us to be able to reject the null hypothesis (according to the conventional cut-off at 5 per cent).
