Non-Permit Confined Space Entry

The following steps must be taken prior to entry work in a non-permit confined space. 

The supervisor will evaluate the area to determine that there are no adjacent operations affecting the confined space. 

Test the atmosphere in the space. Verify a safe means for entry. 

Developing a Safety and Health Program, Second Edition 

Verify that work to be done in the confined space will not create hazards for those in the confined space.
