Nitromethane numbers with concentration

Electrolyte effects on the vibrational spectra of polar solvents have been studied in a number of other solvents including acetone, pyridine, dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, tetramethylsulfone, and nitromethane [37]. These studies provide valuable information on the nature of solvation of ions in these systems. In addition, they can be used to assess ion pairing and its variation with electrolyte nature and concentration.
