Nitrido complexes Ru

The nitrido complex Ru (4-Cl-TPP)(N)(OH) is said to be formed via reaction of Ru(4-Cl-TPP)(0)2 with aq. NH, in CH2CI2, although an attempt to make the nitride complex via oxidation of Ru (4-Cl-TPP)(NH3)2 with m-CPBA, Br2 or air was not successful °. In contrast, oxidation of Os(porp)(NH3)2 complexes (porp = TPP, TTP, 4-Cl-TPP) with w-CPBA in a C H2Cl2/MeOH mixture under reflux gave the corresponding Os (porp)(N)(OH) species . [Pg.60]

Activation of a number of alkanes by a well-characterized (salen)mthenium(VI)-nitrido complex, [Ru(VI)(N)(L)-(MeOH)]PFg (L=V,Ar-bis(salicylidene)-o-cyclo-hexyldiamine dianion), in the presence of pyridine, showed the presence of a substantial KIE. The rate law of the reaction is shown in Eq. (1). A mechanism (Scheme 9) involving a rate-limiting hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) has been proposed. ... [Pg.101]
