Izac, R.R., Fenical, W., Tagle, B., and Clardy, J. (1981) Neolemnane and eremophilane sesqui-terpenoids from the Pacific sof coral Lemnalia aJHcana. Tetrahedron, 37, 2569-2573. [Pg.1381]

The carbon skeleton of neolemnane and the three tricyclic skeletons containing a cyclobutane have few known representatives, but one of them, sterpurane, is interesting because it is characteristic of certain terrestrial fungi ° (Ayer and Browne, 1981) and may indicate an association between a cnidarian (Alcyonium acaule) and a marine fungus. [Pg.1799]
