A group of modified sesquiterpenes, ascochlorin (135) and analogues (136-138), have been isolated from a Gliocladium sp. [59]. Compounds 136 and 138 were isolated from the culture medium, whereas 135 and 137 were extracted from the mycelium. These compounds, except for 138, had previously been isolated from Nectria coccinea, Ascochyta viciae and Fusarium sp. [191-193]. All showed antifungal activity against Sordaria... [Pg.227]
