NdSe g

The datum is included in Appendix E since it was calculated with non-TDB auxiliary data. [Pg.372]

The entropy of NdSe(g) at 298.15 K was calculated to be 5°(NdSe, g, 298.15 K) = 277.5 J K mol by Kovalevskaya, Sidorenko, Lysenko, and Fesenko [75KOV/SID]. The entropy value is not selected because all parameters required for the calculation using statistical mechanics were estimated. [Pg.372]

The datum is adopted since the heat capacity and entropy calculated for diatomic molecules from estimated molecular parameters can be expected to be quite accurate. The error bars have been increased somewhat and the result included in Appendix E since it was calculated with non-TDB auxiliary data. [Pg.373]

The (pseudo ) tetragonal structure of Nd4Se7 does not change on application of pressures up to 100 kbar, in contrast to the behavior of NdSe g, Tikhomirova et al. [1]. The specific paramagnetic susceptibility was measured from 77 to 600 K. The Curie-Weiss law is followed with 0p = -14K, Heff = 3.60 (Xg, corresponding to the value expected for Nd ". The atomic susceptibility is 5210x10 cm /mol Nd at 290 K, Pechennikov et al. [2]. [Pg.135]

Thermodynamic functions (Cp=heat capacity, H = enthalpy, G = Gibbs free energy, S = entropy) for LaSe and NdSe listed below are based on estimated Cp data. Heat capacity measurements on LaSe in the range 90 to 400 K (see p. 76) have been extrapolated by employing one Debye function and one Einstein function. Selected values (in cal mor K" except Hj-Hgee i cal/mol) are ... [Pg.15]
