Natronococcus occultus

Cells of Natronococcus occultus form aggregates of 2 to 10 coccoid cells. Single cells possess a homogeneous electron-dense cell-wall layer up to 120nm in width, which participates in septum formation (Fig. 10). The cells are embedded in a capsule [86,87].
