Nanoparticles polyorganosiloxane

Abstract Different oligo-DNA surface functionalized polyorganosiloxane nanoparticles have been synthesized and characterized. The core-shell polyorganosiloxane nanoparticles possess a hydrodynamic radius of 14.1 (sample code CS1) and 12.1 nm (sample code CS2), respectively. The synthesis of the polyorganosiloxane nanoparticles has been performed in aqueous dispersion as described before [1-10]. The nanoparticles possess a core-shell architecture and the employed monomer mixtures forming the core and shell are given in Table 1. 

The obtained polyorganosiloxane nanoparticles are re-dispersable in organic solvents such as toluene and the results of the characterization in solution are given in Table 2.
