Note that if the upper Fet were a P-Fet, its driver s return current would usually flow through the ground, not the SW trace (there would be no bootstrap circuit present). So a P-Fet/N-Fet combination is actually more forgiving in terms of PCB layout (so long as we have a good ground plane ). 

If one wants to mtike an enzymatically coupled FET that is simultaneously sensitive to n chemicals, called a mulufunctional FET biosensor, n + 1 FET elements are needed for its fabrication one reference FET and n enzyme FETs with a different enzyme-immobilized membrane on each gate surface of the n FETs. Each analyte can be detected independently by measuring the differentitd output voltage between the reference FET and the corresponding enzyme FET.

Having determined the values, the estimation of A using Eq. 15.20 was attempted. Towards this, n[fET] is plotted against n[2+EJRT]+[EJRT] as shown in Figure 15.37. Pre-exponential factor, A is calculated from the intercept of the above plot and the values are found to be 3.4 x 10 1.3 x 10 2.4 x 10 and 2.4 x 10 s for the decomposition of methoxide, ethoxide, n-propoxide and iso-propoxide, respectively.
