N-Ethylacetonitrilium tetrafluoroborate

Nitriles. Aldoximes are dehydrated to nitriles when treated in acetonitrile with N-ethylacetonitrilium tetrafluoroborate (8 hrs. at 20°, then 0.5 hrs. at 80°). The amide coproduct is water soluble and easily separated from the nitrile. [Pg.250]
