N-dimensional descriptor spaces

In general, the environmental behaviour is not measured by the two descriptors alone but by three or more descriptors. FIGURE 3 is, therefore, only one projection of a more general, n-dimensional descriptor space. It is important to decide whether one is interested in the similarity of chemicals with regard to subspaces or to the who/e space. To deal effectively with a higher dimensional space, cluster analysis is applied. [Pg.34]
