Multi-page projects

Sometimes, as with this project, extra creases are needed to create a pop-up. By using this technique, the heart is made to stand away from the backing sheet, using a connecting stem which acts as a multi-piece Horizontal V (see page 70). 

This is the most complex project in the chapter, but made easier because all the basic measurements are the same. It uses the Multi Slit technique (see page 60). To aid accuracy, it maybe advisable to fix squared paper to the back of the card, and to cut and crease on that side. Use thick paper.
